3 Ways to love the holidays

3 Ways In Which You Can Learn To Love The Holidays

by Kathy Valentin

We all know the holidays are supposed to be a beautiful time the year. Unfortunately, this expectation usually ends up causing us stress, anxiety, and eventually resentment. We cannot meet everyone's expectations, but we can control our own and create a holiday season that we will be happy with.

1. Expect the Best

What we expect is usually just what we get. Therefore, expecting the holidays to be something that must be endured is setting ourselves up for an unhappy holiday. Sure there is the reality of crowds, traffic, and unpleasent people people to deal with - but facing the holiday with positive expectations puts us in the mood to be receptive to all the good, while minimizing the snags.

2. Let Yourself Off the Hook

You have the power to give yourself one of the best gifts of the season. Letting yourself off the hook is being proactive in ensuring that you enjoy the holidays. Frantically searching for the perfect gifts, party planning, entertaining, attending events you'd rather not, cooking, primping, and trying to 'force' a nice holiday are all ways we set ourselves up for another stressful season. Letting yourself off the hook means treating yourself with the kindness that you would show someone you really care about. Approach the holidays with this mindset and suddenly your anxiety is lifted, which means you'll be in the mood to actually enjoy yourself.

3. Embrace the term 'relaxed'

Telling yourself, your family, and your friends that you're planning to have a 'relaxed' holiday is an easy way to lift the burden of trying to meet everyone elses expectations of the perfect holiday celebration. Relaxed may mean that you won't be doing any entertaining in your home, or it may mean Christmas dinner is going to be a potluck. You may choose to limit your outside activities, or say 'no' to anything that you really don't want to do. You get to choose just what 'relaxed' means to you.

Learning to love the holidays starts with honoring yourself. When you make taking care of yourself a priority you are much more receptive to caring for the needs of others. It may sound selfish but It's like putting your own oxygen mask on before helping anyone else - it's necessary to take care of yourself first if you want any chance to help someone else. When you learn to love the holidays you will be happily open to and easily contributing to all the beauty around you.

Curious about all the hype surrounding Agloco? Maybe this is the first time you’re hearing about it. For starters Agloco stands for A Global Community and it’s an exciting opportunity to give everyday users of the internet a piece of pie that the big guys are feasting on. Our surfing habits are valuable to advertisers and we are allowing our search engines and internet service providers to benefit from our time online – even when we are paying them for the service! Why not get your share of the valuable advertising dollars that fuel the internet?  Click Here To Join!

Here are a few interesting comments from the global community of Agloco members straight from the company blog. Don’t be too smart for your own good – there really are good opportunities for those who have the insight to understand and appreciate new concepts and business models.

From the company blog:

Jim Martin said,
“As far as becoming an instant millionaire, that is certainly not why I joined. I understand this venture as a very forward looking and unique concept. Hopefully with time, patience and hard work agloco will become a great company that can afford to pay well.
Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

I found this inspiration to me as a part of the Management team. There are many ups and downs in a startup and sometimes it’s helpful to remember that “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. As Founding Members, keep this in mind. The network will grow. The Viewbar will arrive. The payouts will come. Right now we’re setting the foundation to make this Economic Network not only viable, but wildly successful.

GWT said,
“I have been involved as a founder in more than one start up and I agree that being a member of AGLOCO now is much like being a founder of a pre-launch company. Lots of problems — and lots of upside opportunity.”

We like to think that we give our Members an unprecedented look into the pre-launch decisions and activities of the company. When problems arise (as they do in any start-up), our Members see them. In most other companies, these issues have been ironed out for months or years before anyone has even heard of them. As for upside opportunity, there is a lot of money floating around the Internet, and we intend to claim it on our Members’ behalf.

Simon said,
“Hi Brian
Thank you for the regular updates they are appreciated. I wondered if Agloco has anything in place relating to rehabilitation of members … only I find myself totally addicted to it!!
I regularly wake in the night & have the overwhelming urge to check my stats. Does the Betty Ford clinic do treatment for this sort of thing I wonder? !%*!”

We on the management team have asked ourselves these same questions

Here is some information adapted from comments I put up regarding how your AGLOCO hours are accumulated:

AGLOCO Official said,
“As we mention on the website, we pay you for up to five hours of ‘active browsing’. That’s because when you are actively surfing the web, you are providing value for AGLOCO, and this is what AGLOCO pays you for. At present it will be defined as the Member 1) Having a browser as the active application on your screen and 2) Showing some activity. We set the monthly limit to five hours, low enough that we felt the vast majority of Internet users would have no difficultly reaching it. The Viewbar will become useful even when not actively surfing, but not very many of those features will be in version 1.0.

The reason for this is that, in order for AGLOCO to make sense economically, it needs to know that its Viewbar communications are going to people who are actively engaged with their ‘screen’ and the Internet. There is no ‘free lunch’ in the real economy and AGLOCO will not be the exception to this. In order to have money to distribute to Members, AGLOCO will need to have revenue coming in. The website gives a nice overview of this and I blogged about one channel of revenue “transactions” a couple of weeks ago.

So, things like chatting on a website, surfing the net, or playing an Internet game are almost always going to be time towards the five hours. VOIP is a bit different. You could use VOIP and not be engaged with your screen (and with remote Skype phones you might not even be in the same room). So VOIP by itself without some evidence that the Member is engaged with their screen would probably not qualify toward the five hours. After Viewbar 1.0 we will test how effective the Viewbar is when people are on IM and some other non-browser programs that connect to the Internet, and if it is effective we will add that as well. But because the total monthly hours is now set at only 5 we did not think it would be much of a burden to collect these hours using your browser.

It seems that we can do a better job of making this clear, so we will work to add the ‘active surfing’ definition in a more prevalent website location. Thanks for pointing out the potential area of confusion.”

Thanks again to our Members for continuing the great questions and comments!

AGLOCO Member Voices

I saw a lot of great comments, questions, and discussion points in response to my last blog. I wanted to just pick out a few “Member voices” and talk about what they’ve said. There were too many good choices, so keep commenting even if I missed yours - I do read them all. I’ll post a few more over the weekend.

David North said,
“I’d like to re-emphasize a point you made in your post, that I hope all members learn to appreciate. The ancestor (my reference to AllAdvantage) got itself committed to a fixed payout rate when it wasn’t sustainable, and angered members when it tried to back away from it. One of the reasons I joined AGLOCO was in fact that the payout is not fixed, and therefore is much more likely to be sustainable. I was receiving monthly checks in the thousands of dollars from the ancestor, but it only lasted for several months. I would have been better off receiving monthly checks in the hundreds of dollars, forever. For the smart referrer, this is a plus for AGLOCO, not a minus.”

I like this comment because it shows understanding that AGLOCO is trying to build a sustainable company for everyone. One thing we have emphasized is that AGLOCO needs to be much more prudent with money than AllAdvantage was. As Founding Members, you are getting an unusual ‘look’ at a ‘pre-launch’ startup. Hopefully, those of you who have chosen to help build the AGLOCO network during this period we be well rewarded with AGLOCO’s success.

Valerie said,
“Your network will fluctuate dependent upon what you and your network are doing promotion wise. It has nothing to do with March or anything other than what members are doing to spread the word.
Some days you may see new members entering into your network and other days it may be slow to null. There is nothing wrong and that is ok. It will grow as you and members in your network locate and utilize advert sources that produce for them.”
Paul said,

“Fluctuations are normal. You won’t see steady growth every single day. About a week ago I had 2 total referrals in one day, and yesterday I had 47. Don’t get frustrated by seeing everyone else’s big numbers. Just focus on your own and you’ll do great!”

Just a little motivation for everyone referring others to AGLOCO. There are ups, there are downs, but as these Members say, keep focused and good things will happen.

Asad Khalid said,
“Well i have some concerns about AGLOCO. Though i badly want this to work, but it seems too good to be true. I can also recruit people into joining Agloco as its free. But this is the thing that worries me. Its hard to believe that you’re going to be paid without ‘investing’ or putting something in it.”

If being “too good” is our only problem, I think we’re in great shape!

Joking aside, seeming “too good to be true” is probably the number one reason people DON’T sign up for AGLOCO. It seems strange to “get something for nothing.” The truth is, you’re not getting something for nothing. You’re giving the Viewbar a small share of your computer monitor, which we (and apparently many advertisers) consider extremely valuable. You are also choosing us as your partner for commissions, referrals, and fees accumulated through everyday browsing. So, instead of some other middleman making this money, AGLOCO makes it. We win, you win, and the advertisers/companies win for getting your business.

Also, if you decide to refer other Members and build the community, you get more because YOU have built the community and provided it with its most valuable resource: more Members. By providing value to AGLOCO, we provide value back to you for your efforts.

So, essentially, AGLOCO doesn’t cost you any money to join, but you are “putting something in it” to reap the returns AGLOCO will provide you. If it’s worth it to share about 3/4-inch of your screen with the Viewbar and possibly to take the time and effort to build our network, you have earned every cent of your AGLOCO payout.

As always we wish you good fortune in all your efforts to live the best life possible. We at the Top Success Network believe this is a great opportunity for everyone.

Agloco Viewbar

What is it and why would I want one? Basically it’s an unobtrusive addition to your current browser that displays advertising similar to what you see when you go almost anywhere on the internet. The big difference is that as a member (the only way you can get the viewbar) you are an owner of the company and therefore actually get paid, in cash or stock shares, for the time you spend with the agloco viewbar turned on.

You, me and everyone we know are valuable to advertisers. Advertising agencies have been around for a long time. Agloco can be compared to an advertising agency owned by consumers. While I generally don’t pay attention to the constant advertising I’m exposed to – there’s always something that I’m curious enough to check out. This is what advertisers expect. They cast a wide net and try to entice you to take further action. Agloco members know their eyeballs are valuable – and they want a piece of the action.

There is no such thing as surfing the net without exposure to advertising – Agloco is a company that directly compensates the consumer for something they would do for free. Smart consumers will not only understand the brilliance and the feasibility of the business model, they will start demanding it more and more.

Savvy and Suspicious Consumers

I was recently trying to explain the concept of Agloco to someone who doesn’t understand the internet very well – and yes there are still many people (this man is a real estate agent with his own website) who use the internet for very limited purposes and still feel very suspicious when it comes to anything new. Trying to explain Agloco in terms that are common to me were just not getting through to him. He kept asking where the money was coming from – most certainly he was really asking when were they going to start asking for his money.

Then it dawned on me that I only needed to compare the internet with television and radio. How do they make money? Through advertising of course. But you’ve had enough of advertising? Does that stop you from watching TV, or listening to the radio, or sending e-mail for that matter? No…. why not?  Each of these activities is supported through advertising, including signing on to your paid internet provider.

Search or surf the internet – you see advertising. Shop at the mall – you see advertising. Drive down the street – you see advertising. It’s not so hard to understand in these terms. Advertising dollars are enormous – our attention is valuable – advertisers want our attention. We are constantly inundated with advertising, whether we like it or not, so why not set up a system where we are compensated for the time we are exposed to advertising? It’s a new business model that’s catching on with savvy consumers and cutting edge businesses that realize the value of satisfying the informed consumer.

It wasn’t that long ago that the concepts of the internet, instant messaging, and Google were beyond the grasp of all but the most sophisticated minds. Don’t let suspicion or lack of knowledge allow you to pass up the great opportunity of joining Agloco on the ground floor.

Does the way you see yourself get in the way the world sees you?

How do you see yourself? Are you skinny, fat, tall, short, a jock, or a nerd? Does any of these fit you? Is the way the world sees you, the way that you see yourself? Does the image you have of yourself affect the image the world has of you?

Are you in control of your image? Or does it have control of you? If you are not in control then how do you get control?

Do the images we put in with emotion come back to plague us? Yes they do. That’s right, if you have a thought, any thought, and you attach emotion, you will get what you put in, back out. Now remember, I did not say that only if you use positive emotion, but any emotion. That means you are sitting there feeling sorry for yourself and what are you putting in? It had better be good stuff, because that is what you are going to be dealing with. Good or bad, right or wrong.

So the next time you are feeling low, grab a great image and put it in.

How do you define your life?

If you had to define your life in one sentence, how would the definition go?
Do you define your life by how good you used to be? Is the time in school that you did that fantastic thing still the best thing that you have done? Do you define your successes or your failures? Do you define your life through your friends and family? Do you define your life through emotion, like when you are happy or sad? Do you define your life at all, or just go through the motions?
My saying is that what you put in is what you get out. What are you putting in? You do know that you and only you are responsible for your attitude? The saying that birds of a feather flock together, is one of the very few sayings that is true. You surround yourself with people and environment to reinforce what you have put in. It really does no good to change your surroundings if you have not first made changes in yourself.
Do not look to the quote "proven master of philosophy" because that way in a way proven to be hard and long. Why should we take the hard way? Why should we take the long way around? Are we our fathers and mothers? Stand up, and make it easy.
Are you tired of paying your dues? I am!

Controversial Blog. You Decide!

I sent this Blog out, and I got a reply. Here is the blog, the reply, and my response as well.

What is your due in life?

How many dues are you paying? To find your due, you have to be aware of the dues you are paying.

No matter what, you are paying dues. They may consist of dues you think you owe to God, your friends and family, or even the universe. It could be for the raise at work or even having a half way normal child or life. When have you heard you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Did you believe it? This saying and a lot of other ones are about paying dues.

Oh well, chalk it up to experience. Experience is about paying dues, isn’t it?

What about karma? Do you believe in karma? What goes around comes around. What you do will come back to you. Right?

Well karma’s real definition is what you do in this life will be visited on you in your next life. So what do you really believe?

How are you going to arrive at what your due in life is? That is the question?

What about God? Does God want you to pay dues? That is a complete book all by itself.

I for one am Tired Of Paying Dues.

Reply from a friend at Myspace.

what about when it is time for someone to pay you dues, are you gonna be pissed if they decide to tell you...nope, I'm tired of paying dues, catch you on the flipside dude. Really everything we do will eventually have a due. We work, we get what is due to us. We go to school and pay our"dues" and "our" due is given back..ie. certificate of completion. It's a never ending process. Not one for much about god talk, but Karma...I truely believe in. Not a hippy freak or anything, but have seen a lot of shit float by to know that it does come around! So there you go..it sux but it's a cycle that if you break it...you eventually get screwed without a reach around!!!
We are keeping the person who sent this private.

Hello,

First let me Thank You for taking the time to reply, I’m glad I could strike a nerve. Next, no one owes me anything; no one has any dues to pay me.

When you work, are you paid your due? What if your due was to be paid $75.00 an hour, but you are stuck in a $10.00 position? How would you go about fixing that? But really, that is not what I am talking about. What was said is that you are paying dues know matter what. The key is to recognize this and try to minimize it. That is called getting out of your own way, allowing yourself to be successful. I know of many people that went to college and got their due, ie. Certificate of Completion, and then drove a Taxi, or Waited on Tables. Not that there is anything wrong with being employed, but was that their due?

You say that you believe in Karma, that what you do in this life is going to come back to you in your next life? No, that what comes around, goes around? That is not Karma. How many people do you know that go through life and the bad things always seem to miss them? They were good in school, sports, popular, good looking, the teachers liked them, their boss likes them, they start their own company and it takes off like a rocket, they have great looking spouses and their kids are even greater? How do you explain that? They never did anything wrong? They never had dues to pay? No, they were just good at getting out of their own way.

My saying is this. What you put in is what you get back.

My lovely lady, Kathy Valentin and I, Brian Hunnicutt, have written seven books based on this. It is mind blowing common sense philosophy that will revolutionize your life.

We do not make this statement lightly, it has been well received and people are already applying our techniques with great success.

You talked about a cycle, we finally agree. There is one. The key is that it can be broken, with the right knowledge and attitude. Your choice.

We offer a free book as well, that has a much deeper, better, and more concise explanation. That’s right, free, no obligation, you can read it online, so there is not even the cost of ink. It will only cost you time, but who knows, you might run into something worth while.

Go to
Top Success Network, and then go the Right Place, Right Time page. There you have the choice to download or to follow the link to a sub-domain that has it right on the Web.
