This book is titled Career Success, but could just as easily been called Sales for Life Success. Unfortunately there are many negative connotations attached to the concept of selling and we wanted the greatest possibility of reaching an audience that would benefit from this material.

We all have an agenda in life, whether it’s getting a raise or a new job, setting house rules, pitching our proposal, getting a night on the town, sleeping peacefully, planning a vacation, or negotiating a compromise – you get the idea, getting what we want is SELLING OUR AGENDA.
The people who most often get what they want are the movers and shakers that others admire for their luck and perseverance. It’s when you start looking at their lives that your perception can be shattered, because they weren’t necessarily lucky or even very hard workers.

Kathy used to feel she could do just about anything with the exception of sales. To her ‘sales’ was a kind of dirty word. She was actually a great salesman, although she didn’t realize it.
Brian figured out early in life that sales were the ticket to getting what he wanted. Most would say he’s a ‘natural salesman’. Starting life shy and introverted, he would beg to differ. Sales did not naturally come easily to him but his introverted nature allowed him to be analytical when it came to mapping out success. After quickly working his way up the career ladder he found himself in the position of personally training hundreds of individuals to surpass their wildest career and sales expectations.
This book is full of techniques that you will use over and over again for the rest of your life. No matter where your ‘career’ takes you, you will always find a use for ‘selling’ what’s important to you.
What you will not find is a ridiculous checklist of technique’s to psyche yourself up or manipulate other people. This is about techniques that allow you to position yourself in life so you can get what you want EASILY.
Recently, Brian’s toughest challenge has been ‘selling’ Kathy on the value of the NFL in our lives. With all the great ‘football entertainment packages’ now available he’s surely not the only man with this objective. Brian is a master salesman – but then again so is Kathy, so what we have ended up with is a win/win situation that keeps both of us happy and doesn’t involve manipulation or great compromises.
When it comes down to it don’t we all have many areas of our life that we’d like to resolve with a win/win?
